Local pilot · synthetic data only
SmartHasibu
âHasibuâ is Kiswahili for account or reckoning. SmartHasibu is a phone-friendly bookkeeping pilot for farmers and small enterprises. Record sales and costs, separate farm activities, track unpaid credit, and review monthly totals.
The pilot runs locally and is not yet publicly launched. Use synthetic information only; do not enter real financial or personal details.
Offline sync, shared group books, and automated SMS are not available yet. Payments are recorded manually; the pilot does not process money.

Projects & collaborations
Each entry states the owner, MoFirmsâ role and the stage. Proposals and models are not presented as results.
Project clusters under consideration
VOFA reports written proposals and illustrative financial models for these ideas. None is yet an approved or funded project. Activities under consideration are shown on each card.

What needs to happen before a cluster can proceed
Understand member readiness.Survey interested membersâ production, capacity, and willingness to participate.
Check demand and viability.Assess potential buyers, supply terms, costs, likely earnings after costs, working-capital needs, and environmental fit.
Share a clear plan.Give interested members the proposed costs, responsibilities, risks, and terms to review.
Obtain formal approval.VOFAâs Committee must approve a cluster before the association commits resources or confirms partners.
With enough interested, verified members, a cluster could explore buyer negotiations, group input prices, and shared transport. Any approach to financiers depends on demonstrated production and genuine buyer interest; no outcome is guaranteed.
Financial safeguards: the proposed mutual-guarantee fund is not an approved scheme; VOFAâs guide says no deposits are being requested. Carbon budgets assume zero income until eligibility, methodology, and net benefit are independently verified.
We are exploring ways to help clients reach producers and suppliers of seedlings, poultry and beekeeping equipment. MoFirms would act as coordinator or introducer, not seller of record, unless confirmed otherwise. Listings go live only once specifications, availability, pricing and delivery terms are confirmed.
Our approach starts with the enterprise: what it can produce, who will buy, what resources are needed and which risks must be managed. We help turn ideas into structured plans and identify the expertise, information and relationships needed to deliver them.
Our advisory approach draws on decades of combined experience in agricultural finance, risk management and capacity building. Where an assignment needs specialist expertise, we coordinate with appropriately qualified professionals.

Customer portals
Portals A and B support farmer, supplier, buyer, and service-provider registration. Portals C and D accept specialist financial-analysis and risk-and-opportunity assessment requests; staff review the scope and quote before work begins. The Farmer Business Readiness Pack is a proposed private pilot request; staff review every request and any internal draft before work is agreed. Portal E is a separate, manually vetted research service; respondent participation is voluntary and researchers see aggregate results only. These services remain in local development and are not open for real personal, financial, or research data until secure production hosting and the privacy notice are approved.
